As someone who travels a lot I am really fed up with overpriced Hotels that usually offer less more than over decorated Hotel rooms a mini bar and a tv. When what you really would want is WiFi, a simple and not to expensive room, a nice breakfast and friendly people.
So I love this Idea:

we'll probably visit san francisco next spring. this sounds cool but i actually think it's kind of expensive compared to a hotel room. or maybe i just didn't get it right...
